The Texas Rangers barely got a “W” over the Boston Red Sox yesterday at Fenway Park with the Rangers winning 4 to 2. It was quite a game that followers with Rangers tickets will be talking about for days.
Rangers pitcher C.J. Wilson (3.23 ERA) got the win, while Jon Lester (2.81 ERA) took the loss for the Red Sox. C.J. Wilson went 6.2 solid innings for the Rangers, allowed 3 hits, no home runs and one earned run with 5 walks and 10 strikeouts. Also pitching for the Rangers was Darren O’Day (1.42), and Frank Francisco (4.07). The Red Sox’s starter Jon Lester went 8 innings, allowed 9 hits, no home runs and 3 earned runs with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. Michael Bowden (0.00) also pitched for the Red Sox. With the win, Wilson’s record goes to 8-5, while Lester falls to 11-4. Neftali Feliz earned the save for the Rangers, bringing his saves up to 24.
